Unitree Robotics said it will provide free annual sponsorships to a group of "genius young people," opening applications to students from high school through before master's graduation. Applicants can submit project proposals directly by email, with funding ranging from 10,000 yuan to 20,000 yuan in phased grants, while exceptionally strong projects will not face a preset cap. The company said projects are not restricted by field and may cover frontier areas such as chip manufacturing, AGI, microrobotics, controllable nuclear fusion, limb regeneration and superconducting materials. Unitree said selection will focus on the quality of project applications and execution process rather than final results, while applicants must ensure safety, legality and compliance and bear full responsibility for their projects.
