Uniswap founder Hayden Adams has expressed concerns over persistent scams impersonating Uniswap, despite years of efforts to combat them. Adams noted that fake Uniswap apps and scam advertisements continue to resurface, even after multiple reports. He highlighted an incident where a fake Uniswap app appeared during the App Store approval process, and scam ads reappeared despite being reported. Additionally, some third-party tools capable of blocking malicious ads, such as uBlock, have been banned. Adams criticized the current advertising economic model, calling for change. Previously, a user lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in a single transaction after clicking on a fake Uniswap ad on Google.
