Union Square Ventures (USV) has raised a $900 million new fund targeting early-stage startups in AI, robotics, manufacturing, and energy. This represents a significant expansion from its previous $275 million core fund, enabling the firm to lead more rounds and support capital-intensive companies through longer development cycles during the current technological transformation.
The firm has expanded its investment team with several high-profile additions. General Partner Michael Mignano, Venture Partner Jared Hecht, and Product Advisor Partner Scott Belsky join veteran investors Fred Wilson, Rebecca Kaden, Nick Grossman, and Nikhil Raman on the core team. Senior partners Andy Weissman, Albert Wenger, John Buttrick, and Brad Burnham will continue supporting USV and its portfolio companies.
