The group forcibly took the victim to their home in July 2025, using threats and facial recognition to access his bank and crypto accounts, stealing over £10,000 in cash, cryptocurrency, and a watch. The investigation was aided by Coinbase, which reported unusual activity on the victim's account, leading to the suspects' arrest. Four main offenders received prison sentences ranging from three and a half to six and a half years, while another was sentenced to community service for money laundering.
