The UAE's AI Free Zone, Innovation City, has introduced a blockchain-based digital identity system for businesses. This new system transforms business licenses within the zone into dynamic, tamper-proof digital identities on the blockchain. Developed on the OPN Chain by IOPn, the system aims to provide near real-time verification for banks, regulators, and investors, supporting AI-driven scenarios such as licensing, compliance, taxation, and cross-border interactions. Additionally, it seeks to reduce risks associated with document forgery and misuse of corporate structures.
