TRON network's Super Representatives have introduced Proposal #106, which is currently in the committee voting phase. The proposal, if approved, will be implemented on April 10 at 20:00 (Singapore Time). It seeks to modify the SELFDESTRUCT instruction's execution behavior and cost. Under the new rules, a contract will only be deleted if the SELFDESTRUCT instruction is invoked within the same transaction that created it; otherwise, only the contract's assets will be transferred, leaving the contract itself intact. Additionally, the energy cost for SELFDESTRUCT will rise from 0 to 5000. These changes aim to enhance TRON's compatibility with Ethereum's Virtual Machine (TVM). TRON has advised developers utilizing SELFDESTRUCT to monitor the proposal's progress and prepare for necessary adjustments. Users experiencing node synchronization issues should ensure they have upgraded to version 4.8.1.
