TRON has successfully passed Proposal #106, implementing changes to enhance its compatibility with Ethereum. Effective April 10, the mainnet now modifies the SELFDESTRUCT instruction, allowing a contract to be permanently removed only if invoked within the same transaction that created it. In other cases, the instruction will transfer the contract's assets to a specified address without deletion. Additionally, the energy cost for executing SELFDESTRUCT has increased from 0 to 5000. These changes aim to align TRON's mechanisms more closely with Ethereum, supporting multi-chain development and ecosystem integration.
