Blockchain-based digital identity platform TransCrypts has raised $15 million in a seed funding round led by Pantera Capital. The funds will be used to expand its encrypted data infrastructure, which securely stores and verifies personal records for over 4 million users and 450 companies. Founded by Zain Zaidi and Ali Zaheer, TransCrypts is HIPAA-certified and operates in nine countries, focusing on self-sovereign identity control and initiatives like refugee medical data management.
