The Better Money Company has successfully closed a $10 million seed funding round led by a16z Crypto, with participation from BoxGroup, Sunflower Capital, and prominent angel investors such as Circle co-founder Sean Neville. Co-founded by former a16z crypto investor Sam Broner and Adam Zuckerman, the company aims to establish a stablecoin clearinghouse that facilitates low-cost exchanges between various USD-backed stablecoins.
The company has already secured partnerships with stablecoin issuers like Paxos, Stripe’s Bridge, and MoonPay. The clearinghouse will support stablecoins compliant with the Genius Act, excluding USDT but including its U.S.-specific version, USAT. The product is expected to be available to users in the coming weeks.
