Thailand's Securities and Exchange Commission has issued 11 notifications establishing a regulatory framework for cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds, with the rules set to take effect on October 16. Bitcoin and ETH are designated as the first eligible assets under the new guidelines.
Funds operating under this framework must maintain an average net exposure to a single asset of no less than 80% of the fund's net asset value. The regulations provide the structural requirements necessary for launching crypto ETF products in the Thai market.
