Tether has secured commitments from 15 Bitcoin mining companies, ASIC manufacturers, and mining pools to build and maintain integrations for its open-source Mining Development Kit (MDK). The participating organizations include Bitmain, Canaan, MicroBT, F2Pool, Foundry Digital, Luxor, and Bitdeer.
Each participant will develop MDK Workers that convert their proprietary hardware, mining pool, or system interfaces into a unified standard, enabling developers and AI agents to manage mining facilities across multiple vendors. Tether's QVAC mining agent already operates on the MDK platform. The kit released version 0.11 at the Plan ₿ Forum in Lugano and is targeting a stable 1.0 release before the end of 2026.
