Tether has expanded its Bitcoin reserves to 96,185 BTC, valued at $842 million, according to on-chain analyst Yujin. The issuer of USDT reportedly acquired 9,850 BTC in Q4 2025, including significant withdrawals from Bitfinex totaling 9,849.8 BTC. This strategic accumulation aligns with Tether's policy of allocating 15% of its profits to Bitcoin purchases since May 2023. The average acquisition cost for Tether's Bitcoin holdings is approximately $51,117 per BTC, resulting in an unrealized gain of $3.524 billion. This positions Tether's reserve address as the fifth-largest Bitcoin wallet globally, reflecting its substantial investment in the cryptocurrency market.
