Tether has announced the development of a new generation of modular Bitcoin mining infrastructure in collaboration with Canaan and other partners. The design separates computing power modules from power and cooling systems, enhancing energy efficiency and allowing for on-demand upgrades. This infrastructure supports immersion cooling and enables operators to replace individual components instead of entire machines. Previously, Tether released the open-source mining framework MDK, providing unified management and optimization tools. This hardware advancement indicates Tether's accelerated efforts to build a comprehensive mining infrastructure stack.
