Tether is contemplating establishing a U.S. entity and engaging in political donations for the 2026 elections, according to CEO Paolo Ardoino. Ardoino expressed dissatisfaction with the crypto industry's major political action committee, Fairshake, accusing it of ultimately serving the interests of a specific company, though he did not specify which one. Public records reveal that Fairshake spent $133 million in the 2024 elections, with Coinbase being the largest donor, contributing nearly $70 million.
