Tether has partnered with digital bank and investment platform Fastet to introduce the world's first Visa debit card backed by digital gold XAU₮. This innovative card allows users to convert XAU₮ to USD₮ and then to fiat currency for purchases at Visa merchants globally. Cardholders can earn up to 6% XAU₮ cashback on eligible transactions and automatically convert remaining balances into XAU₮, facilitating passive gold accumulation. Tether will contribute up to $1 million equivalent in XAU₮ to the card's rewards pool. Fastet, which operates multi-currency accounts and crypto-asset fiat currency channels in Asia and Africa, aims to leverage this partnership to promote XAU₮ adoption in emerging markets.
