New regulations for cryptocurrency ATMs in Tennessee and Georgia came into effect on July 1. Tennessee has implemented a comprehensive ban on crypto ATMs, while Georgia has introduced transaction limits and reporting requirements. These measures follow similar actions by Indiana, which banned crypto ATMs in March, and Minnesota, which will enforce a ban starting August 1. The regulations aim to curb scams targeting residents, particularly the elderly, who have been deceived into transferring funds via these machines. Prior to the ban, Tennessee had around 185 crypto ATMs in operation. Lawmakers in Delaware and New Jersey are considering similar bans.
