Tencent Hunyuan has open-sourced its Hy-MT2 multilingual translation models, offering versions with 1.8B, 7B, and 30B-A3B parameters. These models support 33 languages and five Chinese dialects, with resources available on Hugging Face, ModelScope, and GitHub. The models are optimized for various hardware platforms, including ARM and Intel, and feature ultra-low-precision quantization for efficient on-device deployment. Additionally, Tencent has introduced the "Tencent Hy Translation" mini program, which includes features like voice input and customizable instructions. The program is part of a broader initiative that includes a partnership with WMT26 for a video subtitle translation competition. The models have demonstrated superior performance on the FLORES-200 benchmark and are set to enhance translation capabilities on both iOS and Android devices.
