Tencent's local AI assistant QClaw has halted new user registrations effective immediately and will officially cease operations on December 24 due to business adjustments. The company is supporting existing users with data migration services and offering point subsidies to facilitate the transition before the shutdown date. QClaw was launched earlier this year as part of Tencent's broader AI product matrix, enabling one-click installation on Windows and Mac systems with remote control capabilities via WeChat. The assistant allowed users to execute computer tasks through mobile commands, such as generating and sending desktop reports, but is now being discontinued less than a year after entering internal testing.
