Tassat has announced Project NENYA, a stablecoin reserve management platform designed to assist regional and midsize U.S. banks in accessing the growing stablecoin market. The initiative aims to provide these banks with the necessary technology and compliance infrastructure to compete for stablecoin reserves, which are expected to become a multi-trillion-dollar market. The platform, set to launch in early 2027, will facilitate connections between regulated stablecoin issuers and banks, allowing for reserve allocation across cash deposits and tokenized assets.
The project addresses the challenges smaller banks face in servicing stablecoin issuers, such as lacking the infrastructure and expertise to manage reserve deposits. Through a shared marketplace, participating banks can bid for deposits, while issuers can distribute reserves and monitor financial metrics. Tassat CEO Glen Sussman highlighted the demand from banks eager to participate but lacking the necessary resources.
