Swiss crypto wallet provider Tangem has launched its first physical Visa card, enabling in-store and online spending plus ATM withdrawals with an initial issuance capped at 5,000 units. Users can top up the card directly from self-custody wallets and transfer funds back if the card is suspended or closed. The card offers cashback settled in Circle-issued USDC stablecoin, providing 1% for Basic users and 2% for Plus users on eligible purchases.
Tangem will showcase the physical Tangem Pay cards at Token2049 in Singapore as it addresses regional supply limitations. More than 40% of Tangem Pay payments currently originate from Latin America and over 30% from the United States. Head of Tangem Pay Andrey Ilinskiy noted that physical card availability depends on the alignment of demand, regulation, banking infrastructure, and issuance requirements across different markets.
