Cryptocurrency trading platform Talos has raised $45 million in a Series B extension round, valuing the company at approximately $1.5 billion. The funding round saw participation from Robinhood, a16z crypto, and new strategic investors such as Sony Innovation Fund, IMC, QCP, and Karatage. Existing investors BNY and Fidelity Investments also contributed. Talos, which provides trading infrastructure to institutions managing around $21 trillion in assets, aims to enhance liquidity and functionality in the crypto market. The company recently partnered with Uniswap Labs and Fireblocks to offer DeFi liquidity solutions for institutional clients.
