Succinct has released a critical patch for its SP1 zero-knowledge proof system after discovering a bug that could allow invalid proofs to pass verification. Native Rust verifiers accepting untrusted proofs must upgrade to version 6.8.1 immediately, the company said.
Onchain Groth16 and Plonk verification via Solidity remains unaffected by the vulnerability.
