Stripe will introduce stablecoin payment options for merchants starting December 12, 2025. The service will support USDC and other stablecoins, with settlements on Ethereum, Base, and Polygon networks. Merchants will incur a 1.5% transaction fee, with no fixed charges, and settlements will be credited in USD.
Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, commented on the development, expressing hope that Stripe understands how to profit from crypto payments through volume-based bips-level fees, noting, "One person's profit is another's opportunity."
