Steakhouse Financial has confirmed a DNS hijacking incident following a social engineering attack on OVH Cloud. Attackers altered DNS A records for the project's main website and app subdomains, redirecting them to malicious IPs and attempting a domain transfer. The changes have been reversed, and DNS records cleared, with ongoing collaboration with OVH to resolve the issue.
The DeFi project assured users that all vaults and smart contracts remain unaffected, with depositor funds secure. Users are advised against interacting with the official website or emails until further notice. During the DNS disruption, vaults were accessible via Morpho, with all functions operating normally. A detailed post-incident report will be released soon, and frontend restoration will be confirmed separately.
