Starknet has announced that Bitcoin staking will be available on its mainnet starting September 30. This new feature will enable Bitcoin holders to stake their assets on Starknet, contributing to network security and earning rewards. The update also reduces the unstaking period from 21 days to 7 days, enhancing flexibility for users. To facilitate this upgrade, the staking contract will be temporarily suspended on September 15 at 10:00 AM (GMT+3) for integration purposes. Following the upgrade, validators and developers can deploy Bitcoin delegation pools and integrate with the protocol. Reward distribution is set to commence on September 30.
