The baijiu and retail sectors also saw gains, with Gujing Distillery and Xinhua Department Store reaching limit up. Conversely, the semiconductor sector faced significant declines, with several companies, including Demingli and Qiangyi Co., Ltd., falling over 10%. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.29%, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 0.97%, and the ChiNext Index decreased by 1.21%.
