Standard Chartered has initiated coverage of Sky’s SKY token with a $0.325 price target for the end of 2028, implying roughly fivefold upside from its current price of $0.065. Geoff Kendrick, the bank’s global head of digital asset research, compared Sky to a “Federal Reserve” because it issues stablecoins, establishes a governance framework and charges borrowers wholesale interest rates.
Kendrick said Sky primarily returns value to token holders through staking rewards, while buybacks account for a smaller share. Standard Chartered forecasts Ethereum at $18,000 and Bitcoin at $300,000 by the end of 2028, and expects SKY to broadly track Ethereum while outperforming Bitcoin.
