Standard Chartered Bank has forecasted that 2026 will be a pivotal year for Ethereum, with its price expected to reach $7,500 by year-end. The bank's global head of digital asset research, Geoffrey Kendrick, highlighted Ethereum's potential to outperform other cryptocurrencies due to its dominance in stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, and decentralized finance. The bank has also revised its long-term price targets for Ethereum, projecting it to reach $15,000 by the end of 2027 and $22,000 by 2028. By 2030, Ethereum is expected to hit $40,000. The report emphasizes Ethereum's increasing transaction volume, with stablecoin activity making up 35% to 40% of transactions. Standard Chartered anticipates the stablecoin and tokenized asset market to grow to $2 trillion by 2028, predominantly on the Ethereum network.
