On-chain brokerage network Spicenet has closed a $5 million Series A funding round led by dao5, with participation from Babylon and Astrarizon. The raise brings total funding to $8 million after combining with a prior $3 million seed round co-led by Hack VC and Magnus Capital.
The new capital will fund the launch of Spice Edge, a cross-venue margin product featuring Derive as its launch partner, introduce the SPICE token, and provide initial liquidity across the network. Meanwhile, trading volume for the beta version of Spice Flow, Spicenet's cross-chain interaction product, has surpassed $160,000.
