SpaceX has reorganized the leadership of its data center construction team in recent weeks, with several managers removed and executives from its rocket and satellite internet businesses reassigned to strengthen data center infrastructure, according to The Information.
The changes followed civil engineering and ongoing reliability issues at SpaceXAI data center facilities in Tennessee and Mississippi, people familiar with the matter said. During the early buildout, the company reportedly moved quickly to complete the sites, leaving some facilities operating for months without backup cooling and power systems, increasing the risk of outages.
