SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell and her husband Robert announced they are donating over 2 million shares of SpaceX stock to children's "Trump Accounts," with distribution scheduled for December. The first tranche is being transferred into custodial accounts for children aged 11 to 17 living in zip codes where median household income does not exceed $57,000, as well as children in sparsely populated areas without published income data. Affected families will receive notification by Monday.
A second batch of shares will be finalized within weeks, extending coverage to children of overseas military families, foster children, and children in select Texas counties where median household income is below $90,000. The U.S. Treasury Department, IRS, and the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation are participating in the donation effort.
