S&P Dow Jones Indices has introduced its first officially licensed S&P 500 perpetual contract on the decentralized public chain Hyperliquid. This new product, aimed at qualified non-US investors, allows for 24/7 on-chain leveraged long and short trading using institutional-grade S&P DJI index data. The initiative is designed to extend the S&P 500 liquidity ecosystem onto the blockchain, complementing existing financial products like futures, options, and ETFs.
TradeXYZ, the largest real-world asset perpetual market on Hyperliquid, facilitates this offering. Since October 2025, TradeXYZ has reported a trading volume exceeding $100 billion, with an annualized trading volume surpassing $600 billion. This development marks a significant step in integrating traditional financial indices with blockchain technology.
