The Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office in South Korea has sold 320.8 Bitcoin, raising 31.6 billion won (approximately $21.5 million) for the national treasury. These Bitcoins were originally seized from an illegal gambling platform and were stolen in August 2025 following a phishing attack on officials. The stolen assets were returned by the hacker in February this year. The prosecutors conducted the sale over 11 days, from February 24 to March 6. The hacker remains at large, and investigations are ongoing.
