The Seoul Central District Court has ordered Wemade to compensate its former and current employees approximately 9.939 billion won. The ruling comes as part of a damages lawsuit filed by 27 employees in July last year, who sought 16.176 billion won, claiming Wemade failed to deliver on its promise to pay them in the virtual currency WEMIX. Wemade, which established its blockchain subsidiary Wemade Tree in 2018 and merged it with the company in 2022, now has the WEMIX Foundation handling related functions.
