South Korea's National Tax Service (NTS) has recovered 33.9 billion won (approximately $23 million) in taxes over the past nine months through collaboration with tax authorities from three countries. The NTS has exchanged information with 163 jurisdictions to track assets hidden overseas. Starting next year, South Korean tax authorities will receive virtual asset transaction data from 56 countries under a new crypto asset reporting framework. Additionally, from 2030, they will exchange information on overseas real estate holdings and transactions.
