Soneium, incubated by Sony and Startale, announced plans to support ERC-8432 as an open standard for on-chain IP assets and licensing registries. Published on Ethereum Magicians on September 28, the standard aims to provide a universal interface for AI agent interactions with tokenized intellectual property.
The protocol addresses limitations in current tokenized IP models by enabling rights holders to register assets with attached licensing terms. This framework allows AI agents to verify authorization and acquire agreements within a single transaction, facilitating rapid discovery and compliant reuse of creative works through a "register once, license everywhere" approach.
