Solv Protocol announced that its BTC+ contract on the BNB Smart Chain was attacked on July 13 due to a leak of the deployer's private key. The attacker exploited this vulnerability to upgrade the BTC+ minting proxy contract, resulting in the unauthorized minting of BTC+ tokens. Solv's team responded swiftly, isolating the malicious contract and neutralizing the unauthorized tokens within three hours. All underlying BTC assets remain secure. In response to the breach, Solv has suspended BTC+ subscriptions and redemptions, with plans to resume these operations within two weeks. The protocol has enhanced its security measures, rotated affected credentials, and initiated an external re-audit. Users are advised to acquire BTC+ only through official Solv channels, as no official liquidity pools exist on any DEX. A detailed post-mortem report will be released soon.
