Solayer founder @Fried_rice has highlighted significant security vulnerabilities in large language model (LLM) API routers. On April 10, he revealed that these agents often depend on third-party API routers that lack cryptographic integrity protection. Testing conducted on 28 paid routers and 400 free routers uncovered that one paid router and eight free routers were compromised, injecting malicious code to steal Ethereum (ETH) and user credentials.
In response to these findings, Solayer's team has developed 'Mine,' an agent verification system designed to detect and defend against such attacks. This system includes fail-safe policy gating mechanisms to enhance security and protect users from potential threats posed by compromised API routers.
