A developer from Learning + Vide Coding has created a grid trading bot on the Solana blockchain for the Solana Online Hackathon, focusing on the Trading & Strategy Bots track. The bot leverages on-chain data to execute trades, offering a more "authentic" trading experience compared to centralized exchanges (CEXs). It operates by reading pool prices, determining triggers, constructing trades, and executing them on-chain.
The bot, designed for PumpSwap's post-migration external pool, dynamically adjusts its grid strategy. It polls on-chain pool reserves every few seconds to determine the mid price, resets thresholds around the execution price after trades, and supports a strategy of buying more and selling less. Additionally, it automatically wraps SOL to WSOL when needed. This approach is particularly suited for mid-to-late-stage meme tokens with high volatility and potential for significant range profits, focusing on position management rather than mere order execution.
