Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, has highlighted a significant risk posed by AI potentially breaking post-quantum cryptography (PQC) signature schemes. Yakovenko emphasized that the industry has yet to fully understand the mathematical vulnerabilities of these schemes, and the risks in practical deployment remain unclear. To mitigate these threats, he recommends supporting these schemes with 2/3 multi-signature wallets, such as Fuse Wallet, or ideally, providing native support through program-derived addresses (PDA) in transaction processors.
