SkySafe, a San Diego-based drone defense company, has announced the launch of FliteGrid, a decentralized sensor network designed to enhance drone detection capabilities. Built on the Solana blockchain, FliteGrid incentivizes users to host drone detection sensors at home by rewarding them with FLITE tokens. The sensors, priced at $949, are set to ship in Spring 2025, with token rewards commencing in 2027. SkySafe, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, also plans to expand its operations to Japan and the European Union by 2027.
