SKILD AI has launched S1, a new robot foundation model that can learn to perform an unseen 10-minute task from a single video demonstration, without any fine-tuning. The company said S1 can combine skills learned during pretraining or create new skills on its own to complete tasks such as making coffee, planting, and cooking pancakes. SKILD AI said the model marks a breakthrough over earlier robot learning methods, which required hours of data collection and fine-tuning in deployment conditions through context learning.
