SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung has projected that 2027 will mark the tightest supply year in the storage industry, with HBM prices expected to double. Speaking on Friday, Kwak highlighted the growing demand for long-term supply agreements as customers flock to SK Hynix. Despite efforts to expand capacity, Kwak noted that demand may continue to outstrip supply even beyond 2030. Industry insiders suggest that the expansion efforts of Chinese storage manufacturers, such as ChangXin Memory and Yangtze Memory, could significantly impact the future storage market. These companies are seen as potential major variables in the industry's long-term dynamics, alongside the developments of overseas storage giants.
