French authorities have formally charged six suspects in connection with a violent home invasion in Taverny, Val-d'Oise, where criminals targeted a family's cryptocurrency holdings. The attackers subjected the father to electric shock torture and bound his wife and 10-year-old child during the raid, which occurred earlier this summer. Despite the violence, the perpetrators found only approximately €100 in cryptocurrency at the residence before stealing several hundred euros in cash and household items. The suspects were referred to an investigating judge on September 11 and face charges including armed organized theft, armed organized extortion, organized illegal confinement, and criminal conspiracy.
