SIGN Foundation has partnered with Bhutan's National Digital Identity (NDI) to develop a sovereign digital identity and verifiable credential system for governments worldwide. The platform, based on open-source technology and compliant with W3C standards, allows citizens to securely manage their identities while ensuring privacy and data sovereignty. SIGN Foundation will oversee system design and technical implementation, while Bhutan NDI will leverage its expertise in digital identity architecture. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCTI) will provide strategic leadership and policy direction for the initiative.
