Shibarium developer Kaal Dhairya has urged the hacker responsible for stealing $2.3 million in crypto assets from the Shibarium Bridge to accept a 20 ETH bounty from K9 Finance. The hacker exploited the bridge on September 12, manipulating their stake to seize 10 out of 12 validator keys, enabling the withdrawal of assets including ETH, SHIB, ROAR, and KNINE. K9 Finance has blacklisted the hacker's wallet, making 248 billion KNINE tokens unsellable. The bounty offer, initially set at 5 ETH, was increased to 20 ETH on November 3, 2025, as an incentive for the hacker to return the stolen assets and act as a white-hat hacker. In response to the breach, Shiba Inu developers have enhanced security measures, introducing a suspicious address blocker and a seven-day withdrawal delay for BONE. Additionally, Shibarium has launched a new official RPC in partnership with dRPC.org.
