The Shiba Inu development team has announced a final bounty of 25 ETH to the hacker responsible for the Shibarium bridge exploit. This offer follows previous unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue with bounties of 5 ETH and 20 ETH. The team clarified that this bounty is supported by the Shiba Inu project itself, rather than solely by the K9 Finance DAO. The stolen tokens remain blacklisted, making them unusable, and the reward contract is structured to operate on a trustless basis. This requires the hacker to approve the transfer of frozen KNINE tokens before they can claim the bounty. In response to the exploit, the development team has also implemented security enhancements to safeguard against future breaches.
