Joseph Chalom, CEO of SharpLink and former head of digital assets at BlackRock, emphasized Ethereum's favorable risk-reward ratio at the 2026 Hong Kong Web3 Carnival. Chalom noted that despite recent declines in BTC, ETH, and SOL prices, the current market conditions present the best risk-reward scenario in years. He highlighted the resilience of high-quality projects and the productivity of Digital Asset Treasuries (DAT) through staking. Looking ahead, Chalom predicted a future where digital wallets become seamlessly integrated into daily life, with brokerage accounts transforming into on-chain wallets and bank accounts incorporating blockchain components. He also foresees the rise of AI agents managing financial tasks, enhancing efficiency and alignment with user incentives. However, Chalom expressed concerns about the increasing correlation between crypto assets and tech stocks, as well as the need for improved security standards in the ecosystem.
