Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory has unveiled an upgraded scientific discovery platform, 'Shusheng·Duanyan', at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference. The platform is designed to streamline the entire research process from hypothesis generation to experimental validation. It integrates scientific large models, specialized analysis tools, experimental data, and embodied automation equipment to facilitate collaboration across various stages, including meeting documentation, literature search, plan design, computational screening, automated experimentation, and result feedback. An independent review agent is incorporated to verify references and computational processes, mitigating AI hallucination risks. The platform is currently applied in life sciences and materials science, with plans to expand to additional disciplines.
