Tokenization platform Securitize has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korean tech giant LG CNS to jointly develop tokenized asset and digital asset infrastructure for financial institutions in Korea. The partnership will focus on exploring use cases including tokenized funds, stocks, and stablecoins while targeting business opportunities across the broader Asia-Pacific market.
The collaboration aligns with upcoming regulatory changes as Korea prepares to implement new rules for tokenized securities. Management guidelines proposed by the Financial Services Commission are scheduled to take effect in February 2027, creating a formal framework for digital asset innovation in the region.
